ServePath

ServePath

ServePath’s dedicated hosting plan, Business Path, includes an Intel dual-core 2.13GHz processor, which appears to be the second-lowest specification after those offered by InMotion and NetHosting. No processor upgrade is available and although an upgrade is available for the hard drive, the included 80GB capacity turns out to be the lowest of all the hosts I reviewed. There's no RAID included in the plan either.

This ServePath plan does include 4GB of RAM, which can also be upgraded, although the maximum upgrade available isn't mentioned on the site. ServePath offers 1500GB of included data transfer, and four IP addresses. A maximum of 16 additional IP addresses may be obtained, although you'll need to submit an IP justification form to secure them.

A total of six operating systems are available with this plan, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Fedora Core, and CentOS. However, none of the available operating systems comes included with the plan. Furthermore, there is neither an included control panel nor a firewall. FTP backup is optional and available only with the purchase of a hardware firewall. However, an SSL certificate is available at no extra cost.

With a yearly signup, there's no setup fee for this plan, however there isn't a money-back guarantee either. ServePath is currently offering two months of free web hosting with annual billing. As the Business Path plan usually comes at a cost of $199.99 per month, this amounts to potential savings of $400, making ServePath one of the most affordable plans I reviewed.
