LiquidWeb’s Webmaster Plan 1 includes an Intel dual-core 3GHz hyperthreaded processor, which puts thus plan in fourth place for processor specification after HostDime, HostGator, and Hostway. There's also an option of upgrading the processor with this plan. The 7200RPM 250GB hard drive included with this plan puts LiquidWeb in sixth place for storage after 1&1, ResellersPanel, HostGator, Hostway, and InMotion. The hard drive can be upgraded in this plan as well, although there’s no mention of the associated cost. RAID is optional and can be obtained for $40 per month.
The plan seems to be a bit low on included RAM, offering only 1GB, but there is an option to upgrade to a maximum of 8GB of RAM. A total of 6000GB data transfer is allowed in a month, which is the highest of all the reviewed hosts. LiquidWeb also includes 16 IP addresses in its plan, which makes it number one on this feature. Additional IP addresses can be obtained at a cost of only $0.50 each per month—the lowest price charged by any of the compared web hosts.
The CentOS 5 operating system comes included with the plan. There’s also an option of getting Windows 2003 installed on the dedicated server at an extra cost of $20 per month. The available control panels include CPanel, Plesk 8 for Linux, and Plesk 9 for Windows, each available for $20 per month. FTP backup is also optional and costs $25 per month for 50GB of storage, and $50 per month for 100GB of storage. A firewall isn't available with this plan. The SSL certificate is optional as well, and is available for $50 per year. There isn't a setup fee, nor a money-back guarantee.
The plan is available at a cost of only $189 per month, which is the lowest of all the reviewed web hosts. Our live chat with the web host revealed that the special link shown in the table can be used to sign up for this plan at a cost of only $149 a month. This equates to a yearly saving of $480, which is the second-highest discount after HostGator.
